Ingredients:
4 1/2 cup Unsifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp Ground cinnamon
2 tsp Ground ginger
1/3 tsp Ground cloves
1/4 tsp Salt
1 cup Vegetable shortening
3/4 cup Sugar
1 cup Light molasses
1 large Egg
Instructions:
1. On waxed paper, combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.

2. In large bowl, with electric mixer, beat shortening and sugar until
light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg. Stir in flour mixture to
make a stiff dough.
