Ingredients:
1 cup Shortening
2 cup Brown sugar
2 each Egg
To above mix
1/2 cup Water
1 tsp Vanilla
In another bowl mix
3 1/2 cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking soda
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
Mix well, then combine bowls

MMMMMFILLING; COOK UNTIL THICK

Stir constantly
2 cup Dates -- chopped
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Water
When thick add
1 cup Pecans -- chopped
Instructions:
drop 1 teaspoon dough, add 1/2 teaspoon filling and 1/2 teaspoon
dough on top. Bake at 375
