  Tem's Perfect Onion Rings

Ingredients:
oil, for frying
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 large onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
Step 1 -In a deep-fat fryer, heat 1 inch of the oil to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 -In a shallow bowl, whisk the flour, the water, the egg, the seasoned salt, pepper, garlic, and the baking powder together.

Step 3 -Dip the onion slices into the batter.

Step 4 -In batches, fry the onion rings until they are golden-brown, about 1 minute-1 minute 30 seconds per side.

Step 5 -Drain the onion rings on paper towels.

Step 6 -Serve.
