  BEST BAKED BEANS IN THE WORLD

Ingredients:
1 pound dried pea beans
1 medium onion chopped fine
1/2 C. ketchup
1/2 C. brown sugar packed
1/2 C. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. leaf basil
Salt to taste
1 pound smoked ham, bacon or salt pork, diced
Instructions:
Completely soften beans. Drain and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 12 hours on high for 3 to 4 hours.
