Ingredients:
1 Tbls. canola oil plus 1 tsp.
3/4 small onion, minced
2/3 C. ketchup
1 Tbls. red wine vinegar plus 1 tsp.
2 tsp. honey
1 Tbls. Worcestershire sauce plus 1 tsp.
2/3 C. water
1-1/4 tsp. paprika
1-1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne
1 lb. cooked pork tenderloin, shredded or cubed into small pieces
4 slice bread, toasted French, Italian, or multi grain
Instructions:
Sauce: Combine all ingredients, except pork and bread, in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, uncovered, for 15 minutes until onion has softened. Prepare pork; add to sauce. Continue to simmer 5 minutes. Pile pork filling evenly over each bread slice.
