Ingredients:
1 cup All-purpose flour
2 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1 cup Chopped dates
1 cup Chopped walnuts
5 Eggs, separated
1 cup C and H Brown Sugar, packed
1 tsp Vanilla
C and H Powdered Sugar
Instructions:
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in bowl. Add dates and nuts
and toss until well-coated and separated. Set aside. Beat egg yolks
until thick (about 3 minutes). Gradually beat in sugar and vanilla.
Blend in date-nut mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into
batter. Pour into 15 by 10 by 1 inch greased and floured pan. Spread
evenly. Bake in 325 degree oven 30 minutes until light brown. Cool.
Cut into 48 bars and roll in powdered sugar.
