Ingredients:
1 C. chopped lean bacon
1 medium onion chopped
2 celery stalks chopped
6 C. boiling water
1 pound split dried peas
3 parsley sprigs
1 tsp. dried thyme
3 potatoes peeled, cubed
1 tsp. salt
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in crock pot. Cover and place on low setting. Cook 8 hours or more. Before serving, mash ingredients carefully with potato masher and stir well.
